Rheology model

The rheology class is designed to handle the treatment of the material's rheological properties or constitutive mechanical model in OFFBEAT.

Also, with the use of simple switches it allows the user to activate/deactivate thermal strains, the plane stress approximation (useful for example for r-theta simulations) or the modified plane strain approximation (useful for 1.5D simulations).

Classes

Currently OFFBEAT supports only the following option, which is the default choice for OFFBEAT :

  • byMaterial - The constitutive laws of each material (e.g. elasticity, plasticity etc.) are selected at the material level i.e. by choosing the appropriate value for the keyword rheologyModel in each materials subdictionary.
